Stay-Cation

This weekend my girlfriend, Jenee rented a beach house facing w. cliff just down the street from us for her husband 30th Birthday weekend. She threw a party at the Red Room on Saturday night. My parents took the kids for two whole nights in a row so Rodney and I were able to bike to and fro, and be in our own little town for some kid free fun! It was a real treat since usually we are away when my parents take the kids. I totally recommend trying the new bueget friendly: Stay-cation!

Boys having coffee Sunday morning. Beaut weather too!

On Sunday, we woke up bright and early- and went for a jog to the lighthouse just Rod and I!
Rod went for a quick cold swim in the ocean with all the boys but not before all re-thinking the idea.

I took some prego pics of Jenee's girlfriend and husband. We stopped by Safeway for some Superbowl supplies (BBQ & Beer). Then we all migrated to the Santa Cruz Mt. Brewery for a two leasuirely pints in the sunshine. Rod and I strolled home arm in arm, peeked in a gallery we always talk about visiting, then had our house all to ourselves! We biked down to the ocean front pad for BBQ and Superbowl and just before sunset I squeezed in another photo session of Jenee's brother, Johnny and his fiance, Kim.
It was THEE most perfect weekend.

Reality Check.... MONDAY

Monday I had a second interview for a job on the East side of San Jose at 8am- 50 minute drive. I would work as a tutor here.

Interview went well. The commute was smooth. I actually enjoyed the quiet time. It will be crazy different to work 30 hours a week, but it's good pay and in line with what I want to pursue teaching....
So I wait.

I can't even begin to express my jealously! I am turning 30...gulp... and I would love to do something that fabulous. I think we are having a kid friendly BBQ. Ahhh, embrace the life stage right?
What a refreshing time!
